BioI'm a screenwriter and novelist living back and forth between North Carolina and the L.A. area. I am originally from NC and have been writing since I was a youngster. I have a B.A. in writing and literature from UNC-Asheville with additional studies in Shakespeare abroad at Oxford, England.
Most of my scripts are in the urban fantasy, scifi, or horror genres. I'm particularly fond of scifi and using it in the classic sense to convey a message or deal with an issue that says something about the human condition. Horror became an interest when I found myself not so much afraid of watching horror films as fascinated with what makes them tick, from the structure to the psychology of the characters and the audience reaction.
If you'd like to join in the discussions in my journal, please feel free if you have an LJ account. Anonymous posting is turned off, as that invited too much spam in the past. Some posts are F-Locked and my friending policy basically is that if I don't know you and you'd like to be friended back, just shoot me an email and tell me a little something about yourself. However, if you've filled in your LJ user profile, then that works, too. Do note, interesting and bizarre discussions are great, but trolls will not be tolerated.
